This is a short film by Spanish director Javier Recio Gracia, which was nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the 2010 Academy Awards. This film has great animation and is a parody that demonstrates the struggle that can ensue when an Advance Directive and DNR are not in place. In the film a sweet elderly lady is living alone on her farm, waiting for the arrival of death to be reunited with her beloved husband once again. One night, while sleeping, she dies and takes the journey with the Reaper after showing him a picture of her husband to see if he recognizes it. He nods yes and just as she is about to pass through death’s door she gets pulled back to hospital’s emergency room and she is not pleased. A determined doctor and his staff have brought her back to life and he continues to make every attempt to keep her alive against her wishes at any cost. The ending is funny.
