Reverie Harp is Magical

I have the pleasure of having a reverie harp. I take it to some of our patients and it is so wonderful. My latest experience was with a totally non communicative patient who is often agitated. He has never made a sound other than the occasional groan. I tuned the harp in his room, and while I was doing that he sat up slightly and spoke 3 garbled sentences! I then placed the harp on his chest and strummed it. I would wait for the vibration to almost completely stop, and then I would strum it again. He became so deeply relaxed and peaceful that it was a joy to witness.!

  • I went last week and said hello to the same patient and he asked us what time it was. It seems as though he loves the harp and responds well to it!
  • Wow, Sarah! How blessed was this patient -- very touching.

  • Hi Sarah:

Welcome to the HCF!! I am so happy to hear from someone playing the Reverie Harp. I play a large Celtic harp for my patients. I was amazed at how beautiful and rich the sound of the Reverie Harp is for its size. I hope to get my own in the near future. Great story you shared here. You may want to join the Alternative Therapies - Music group and post this story there as well.

I'm glad you found us. :-)
