I am delighted to share the news that my internet radio programming is reaching an international audience and has had over 1000 listens since my first program on Faith-based Hospice Care in November 2008. I cover end-of-life care issues that are often topics presented in our media, impacting us all in one way or another. I have had guests from AARP, NHPCO and Children’s Hospice International and the South African Hospice and Palliative Care Association. I also interviewed leaders from various American Hospice services and care givers. I invite you to have a listen, then share the link. My website, www.zoealewis.com is dedicated to Hope through Knowledge. My other great passion is improving quality of life for individuals and their families with Alzheimer ’s disease. As a published author on the topic, my books have received national recognition from the Alzheimer’s Association and the Today Show, msnbc.com and other national media. In service, respectfully, Zoë A Lewis MD, FACP, DAAHPM

  • Hi Zoe,
My new book, "Beginner's Guide to Conscious Dying: The Path to Soul Healing, Peace of Mind & Unconditional Love," will be available the first week or so in August. It is for the general public to increase awareness about the Art of Conscious Dying. I also offer a 6-week self-study course followed by a weekend certification training for alternative practitioners, healers, ministers, counselors and health educators interested in becoming Transition Guide Trainers. Of course I'm hoping hospices will enroll their volunteer trainers so they can train their volunteers, who I believe will make excellent Transition Guides. My method is based on the ancient mystery schools and the near death experience perspective and you can read about my NDE and spiritual teachings at Beyond the Veil. Would love to be on your radio show to talk about some of this work and will be happy to send you a copy of my new book. Send an email with your address to cosmiccreativity@mac.com
  • Great. I am doing a show soon on " Dying at Home - A wish of the past?" I want to discuss dying at home with one researcher expert and have callers, so this may be a good fit for you. I will contact you and thanks for the link for the other shows. Guests on all the programs have been candid, blunk, sincere about topics we all have thoughts on.
    Thanks
  • Hi Zoe,
I saw your blogtalkradio on the Volunteer Association's website. I'm currently doing radio/tv interviews for my new book-Lessons for the Living: Stories of Forgiveness, Gratitude, and Courage at the End of Life. You can read an excerpt and reviews on my website: stangoldbergwriter.com. If you are interested in having me talk about the book on your blogtalkradio I'd be delighted. You can contact me at stan@stangoldbergwriter.com

Those who companion suffering daily, such as hospice nurses and volunteers, will surely appreciate this beautiful work. With 62 original art collages by Rashani Réa, five beautiful chapters by Kathy Douglas, and a foreword by Jean Watson, this exquisite book is a peaceful refuge for contemplation, inquiry, reflection and inspiration for those who traverse the joys and sorrows of nursing.

Kathy Douglas, RN, MPH-HA is a nationally recognized nurse leader, filmmaker and entrepreneur.

Rashani Réa is a prolific artist and musician, a creatrice of sanctuaries and a respected spiritual mentor.

“This is a beloved book and beyond a book. It is an evocative, poetic, ecstatic, and inspirited sacred, experiential calling. A calling to you--YES, YOU.”

— Jean Watson, PhD, RN, AHN-BC, FAAN, Living Legend (AAN)

“Those who companion suffering daily need to turn inward to metabolize what they have witnessed. This exquisite book, filled with beautiful images and poetic wise words, is the inspiration and support needed to grow a wise heart.”

— Frank Ostaseski, founder and director of the Metta Institute and author of The Five Invitations: Discovering What Death Can Teach Us About Living Fully

“In this unique time of the COVID-19 pandemic, this book should be considered a tribute to the tremendous courage being displayed by nurses around the world. There is much wisdom conveyed throughout by those who have been there serving others with such grace.”
