    I would imagine they would be the same as with any other volunteer. Our volunteer guidelines require volunteers to be treated as employees (education, training, TB test, etc.). Our volunteer who have licenses (massage therapist, cosmetologist, etc.) must provide current licenses and the education that they must do to renew. We don't have separate guidelines for nurses, etc.- they would need to follow the same guidelines/documentation policies as the other nurses, etc.- nothing different just because they are volunteering their time.
    I look forward to seeing if anyone else has specific guidelines.

    Volunteer coordinators at any hospice organization (or other institutions that use direct care volunteers) can tell you their guidelines. They will probably be glad to talk to you about this.
