there are generally 2 ways for calculate cost saving. You can use the national standard for volunteer work around $20.85 per hour or you work with your company to determine rates for the different volunteer opportunities. I am currently using amounts similar to what compnay would pay a staff person to visit (typically CNA) however, if I am using a professional volunteer the rate might be established to what professional skill that volunteer bring to the table.
